Sculpture by George F. Engel

I’m an inventor, fine art sculptor and designer (graduating Pratt Institute in 1971), who has over many years developed and honed my inborn gifts for conceptualizing and creating concrete solutions to unique challenges. This character trait/skill served me very well during my 30 year career as a Sculptor and Master Mold Maker in the Hollywood FX film studio shops. This unique vocation also cultivated in me an unparalleled skill set with regards to problem solving ‘impossible’ molding and casting issues. It was a combination of these factors (as well as my love for 18th century French terracottas ~~ especially the work of Clodion and Houdon and wanting to capture the detail of my own sculptures in terracotta and porcelain) that led me to invent my visionary breakthrough technologies, methodologies and processes. I utilized my FASTCAST SYSTEM to produce the bust version of my figurine EVE IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN (below).
